It's not a complex origami and you can use small sheets too. Standard origami paper works, but it’s not the most recommended. If you use this kind of paper, check the tips below to keep the shape (specially the last one). ► TIPS TO KEEP A BETTER SHAPE This origami doesn't have any locks to keep it closed and a common problem is that the body tends to spread open. So, here are some tips to keep a better shape on your T-Rex: ● Use a good paper that holds the creases very well. ● Curve the tail. This is a very fun action model based on my seamless Cube. The steps are the same until 20m50s. The beak can be opened the same way as in the origami duck, but I prefer it closed because it looks cuter and it can also hold the knife. This model was first designed in 2014, but this is an updated version with some "bug fixes" (legs are properly locked) and a color changed horn. The biggest flaw of the old version is that the legs and layers of the body would spread open after a while. This could be solved using foil paper or the wet folding technique, but in my opinion a good design should hold the shape well even with normal paper. So, to solve this problem, I've made some locks on the legs similar to the hind legs of my origami Reindeer. How to make an origami Spider Designed by Jo Nakashima (07/2022) Support my channel! 🤍 I recommend using some high quality thin paper of 30cm x 30cm (minimum of 24cm x 24cm if your paper is excellent) for this origami spider. It takes me more than 3 hours to fold this model completely, so be patient and try to fold it precisely. I’m using partial crease patterns to demonstrate some steps and make the instructions clearer and easily, but you’ll probably struggle a bit more to handle the complete sheet of paper. The hardest steps are the chelicerae and spinnerets. The procedure is the same for both, but spinnerets are a bit harder to make (optionally you can skip them and just hide the flap in the end). Learn how to make an origami Moving Cubes (seamless cubes version) Designed by Jo Nakashima (06/2019) Support my channel! 🤍 In this tutorial you'll learn how to make an origami Moving Cubes step by step. This is a modular origami and each cube is made from a single square sheet of paper, everything connected without glue nor tape. In this video I show a new variation of the cube (the seamless version) and also a new way to connect the units which is thinner than the previous version, so the cubes can have better movement. But the downside is that it's a bit harder to make. It is a box pleat model from a 48x48 grid. It is easier to fold than my origami ant and spider. Some suggestions: ● Kraft Alios – It’s the one I used in the beginning of the video and thumbnail. It’s super thin and light, but wet-shaping is required. Buy it here: 🤍 ● Sandwich paper – With its foil base, you can shape it and it will hold in place without any effort.
