In this tutorial I show you how to adjust your volume and loudness using audio keyframes. The first step is to increase the size of your Audio Track so that you can see the white bar (A1 track). Now select the pen tool from the tool bar and click on the white line to add keyframes. Level audio in Premiere Pro is a critical point of your editing process. You want to make sure all the dialogue, music, or voiceover has the correct level or volume. It's easy to change this clip by clip by raising or lowering the audio attached to each clip. But an easier option is normalizing all peaks to a certain number. -3 dB is usually good for this. I've recorded two clips using two different microphones that have 2 different input gains. One microphone with low input gain and hence a lower volume level and another microphone with high input gain and hence a higher microphone volume. So, part of my project now is louder than the other. Luckily, Premiere Pro has a tool called Auto-Match to match all the audio levels to the average loudness. In order to access Auto-Match, you'll need to open Essential Sound Window, and then select all the audio tracks you want to match the audio levels and then click auto-match under dialogue and loudness. Now you don't have to duplicate and add transitions between two tracks. You were able to use the remix feature for quite some time but it was limited to Adobe Audition only. A year ago or so it was included in premiere pro beta and now it's finally out for evreryone to use. I believe this to be a very powerful feature that will save video editors lots of time. Remix also offers a couple of presets that I didn't show in this video but you can set the duration to 30, 60 or 90 seconds with one click. Ever wondered how to make the audio the same loudness across multiple clips? Have you got some quiet footage and some loud footage and you want to match them up? To match and synchronize audio levels in premiere pro - first drag and drop the clips into the timeline. Next, select the audio tracks for each clip, and then click on the effects workspace. Go to the essential sound panel and click on dialogue to tag your audio as dialogue. Note: this works equally as well is you are trying to match audio levels for music, sound effects, or ambience. Now click on the "auto match" feature. This will match the audio across the clips and also make sure that your audio is within 23.000 LUFS / broadcasting standards. #automatch #matchaudiolevels #syncaudiolevels
