EU4 1.34 brings the holy horde to the game. The Teutonic Order can become a crusading horde as they dominate the steppes. You can have full cavalry armies and blast through EU4 Sweden, EU4 Russia and EU4 Poland. The lions of the North DLC is excellent in this regard... you have to try this for yourself! I CAN ONLY SAY WOW! This is an absolutely astonishing piece of modding work, and does what no other mod before it has done - managing to combine Crusader Kings 3 campaigns, with Total War battles. Crusader Wars is only in a very early stage, but is still so much fun and just so darn impressive. The fact that this is even possible says how moddable Crusader Kings 3 and Total War Atilla really are, and I have to not only commend the modders for achieving this piece of art, but Creative Assembly and Paradox Development for opening up their games like this. Make sure to check the mod out on Steam! Crusader Wars will only improve with time, but is even now on Day 1 an instant masterpiece. Discord: 🤍 Twitter: 🤍 In this video titled EU4 - What if The Ottomans Lost The Battle of Varna in 1444? we take a look at what would happen if The Ottomans lost the battle of Varna in 1444. As many of you will know the timeline in Europa Universalis 4 starts on November 11th 1444, one day after the battle of Varna where The Ottoman forces defeated the combined forces of Poland, Hungary and Wallachia. Well in this scenario we explore how events would play out if the Polish forces lead by Wladyslav III won that battle. In this scenario The Ottomans lose their possessions in The Balkans but Serbia, Bulgaria, Byzantium and Albania gain land, and Poland has a personal union over Lithuania, Hungary, Croatia and Bohemia. As you can probably guess this scenario resulted in some pretty funny shenanigans. Obviously you would expect that the nations with the richest faiths or highest developed provinces would dominate, but did it really turn out that way? This whole run was controlled by the AI only without my interference and it yielded some pretty interesting results to be honest. CK3, much like EU4, lets you form soem pretty cool nations. Today, we form the German Empire... not the Kingdom of Germany in CK3 mind you. Using raids and out tribal almost horde government type, we manically rush with the opposite of playing tall using Otto von Bismark to unite Germany at the cost of the Holy Roman Empire!
